redevelopment in a leafy lane in khar resulted in a windfall for this elderly couple in the form of a large apartment all to themselves. the design features a number of unique furniture pieces, including an extendable coffee table with a chessboard inlaid into it and a dining table incorporating a service/ décor tray cantilevered off an oxidized metal base. a pivoting perforated screen wall brings light and openness to a long passage, adding an installation that is at once playful and functional.
