the design of this office showcases once again the studio’s belief in providing design solutions contextual to the businesses they serve. am engineering services represents manufacturers of high-grade stainless steel products intended for highly specific applications in the marine, oil + gas, petrochemical industries. with custom designed lighting, cabinetry, workstations + desks in SS + glass. a 900mm diameter SS flange acts as a porthole window into a conference room, while a faceted reception desk boasts 3 different surface finishes to SS: brushed, gunmetal + mirror polished. SS inlay strips provide discreet accents to flooring and undulating partitions. the multidisciplinary approach of the studio to product and graphic design meant we were also able to deliver branding on exposed AC ducting, and create a showpiece signage in the form of a pixelated version of the firm’s logo, realized in backlit acrylic rods, creating a jewel-like object in an industrial playground of a workspace.
